A stunning and unusual late 19th-century Louis XVI revival credenza, beautifully crafted in a bleached walnut with elegant gilt-bronze ormolu mounts and curved glass display sides.
This exquisite piece, dating from around 1890c, stands out for its rare, pale honey-colored finish, which perfectly complements the golden ormolu and delicate neoclassical details. At the centre is a hand-painted porcelain plaque depicting a classical scene, framed by finely cast gilt mounts.
The curved glazed doors open to reveal shaped interior shelves ideal for displaying fine glassware, silver, or collectibles. The cabinet rests on turned bun feet and retains its warm antique patina, with all the character and craftsmanship of the late Victorian / Belle Ιpoque period.
This beautiful credenza has a stunning light golden tone is highly sought after and much rarer than the darker examples from the same period. It feels elegant and airy equally at home in a classic interior or a modern eclectic setting and makes a refined statement wherever its placed.

Condition: Excellent antique condition, with minor surface wear consistent with age. Glass is intact, ormolu is bright, and the finish is beautifully preserved. Structurally sound and ready for display. There is wear and discolouration on the velvet lining. Minor losses of walnut burr - see last two pictures.
