Pair of Vintage Gilt Mahogany & Emperador Marble Side Tables<br> <br> Measurements: Width 56 cm / Depth 46 cm /Height 55cm<br> <br> Origin: Indonesia <br> <br> Date: Circa 2010<br> <br> A fine-quality matching pair of vintage occasional/side tables, each with a substantial, beautifully figured Emperador marble top, with a serpentine edge and moulded detailing around the edge.<br> <br> The heavy, thick marble tops sit on elegant carved mahogany bases, finished in antiqued gold leaf with attractive aged patination. The shaped aprons feature carved foliate decoration, continuing onto graceful cabriole legs with further carved detailing to the knees and feet.<br> <br> A particularly decorative and substantial pair, with rich chocolate-and-cream marble veining contrasting beautifully against the aged gilt finish. Ideal as lamp tables, sofa end tables or bedside tables, and increasingly difficult to find as a true matching pair.<br> <br> Condition: Very good vintage condition, with natural marks, rubbing, and patination on the antiqued gilt finish, all contributing to its character. The marble is in good condition, with no breaks or cracks; the marble has some clouding in areas and would benefit from polishing.
