Elegant Ebonised Pier Bookcase

Here we have a very handsome and well-proportioned Victorian pier open bookcase, in a striking black ebonized finish with an intricate brass gallery with ormolu gilt embellishments flanking the top corner and the bottom with a elegant gilt beading to the perimeter of the ebonised canopy

This fine bookcase retains its original open shelves which can be adjusted to different levels

Condition report: Structurally solid and sound bookcase, parts of the gilt beading is missing - see pictures of the beading

Also, the bookcase has been restored with black paint in areas of wear- please see all pictures especially the low right-hand corner where some of the veneer has come away and been repainted
